Some 18 million Type 1 diabetes <\/span>patients <\/span>around the world \u2013 1.6 million of them in the US \u2013 live lives defined by their condition. Every day, they must make around <\/span>180 important decisions<\/span> about food, exercise, lifestyle and insulin to avoid risking high or low blood sugar and serious consequences like ketoacidosis. Endsulin\u2019s goal is to <\/span>free them from this everyday burden <\/span>\u2013 endependence on insulin so people can assert their independence from diabetes.<\/span><\/span><\/h6>\n

Type 1 diabetes is often diagnosed in children. 38% of new T1D cases were in children less than 20 years. Caregivers of children with T1D often experience constant worry and anxiety and their caring responsibilities could affect their wellbeing, relationships, activities and finances.
